Effective October 1, 2025, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) will implement new regulations eliminating the use of MC (Motor Carrier) numbers. Moving forward, carriers and brokers will operate solely under their USDOT number for identification and compliance. This change is designed to streamline operations and improve regulatory oversight across the transportation industry.
